Influencer Sparks Controversy Claiming She’s “Too Pretty To Work”
Lucy Welcher, an online influencer with 20 million likes, stirred a storm by declaring herself “too pretty” to work in a viral TikTok video. The internet exploded with accusations of entitlement and shallowness. In her original video, she expressed disdain for the daily grind, stating, “Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every f**king day for the next 60 years? No! I’m too pretty for that!”
After facing backlash, Welcher deleted the video and posted a new one, clarifying it was a joke and venting frustration over social media’s response. She debunked assumptions about her wealth and luxury, revealing her house was “literally falling apart.”
In a subsequent video titled “Remake of the most hated video I’ve ever made,” Welcher recreated the controversial scene. While many viewers supported her understanding it was a joke, debates persisted in the comments section.
