When she visited her local TJ Maxx to inquire, an employee cited her lack of experience. However, Putnam suspected her tattoos influenced the decision.

Despite her disappointment, Putnam emphasized she didn’t necessarily need the job but sought additional income to pay off debt faster. Her visible tattoos, including imagery with Satanic connotations, drew thousands of comments on TikTok suggesting they likely influenced TJ Maxx’s decision.
